"The ability to feel sympathy for each other is one of the most beautiful traits that we possess as humans. The human condition is one of fundamental aloneness. When we reach out and share our sympathies with another human being in pain, we are offering a great kindness to the individual in pain. He knows that he is fundamentally alone but at least he knows that others care and are trying to understand."
Death is something people are not comfortable talking about even though most people have experienced loss through the death of someone they knew  and perhaps loved. We all die.
I have read that horror movies are made with the intent of helping people, particularly young people, grapple with the issues of life and death.
I have lost my grandparents, my parents, all my aunts and uncles, many friends, a brother, and a son. Each loss was painful in a different way.
As the quote above says....I know that others care, and some are trying to understand. BUT Some just can't understand. And some just don't want to have to deal with understanding or thinking about any of it. I have been with people who have hurt me by trying to protect themselves. They don't know what to say so they just say stupid cliches.
Better not to say anything.
Hugs are always good.
So because I need to talk about this  I will be writing this blog. Comments are welcome.
